ProtaTherm® and sizes, these can be supplied as semi-finished or precision finished to a specified profile.

Regardless of the product being handled we can offer the correct graphite grade:

  • high strength grades for fine finish such as thread & under-thread but also for long production runs 

  • economical grades for robuster finishes as bead or underbead pick up, and short runs

In cases where production run time needs to be reduced by using closed mould pickup, we recommend the use of inserts with thread or finish profiles. These will allow better clearance between take out holder and top of the blow mould.

Anti-oxidation treatment is available, the perfect solution for those extra difficult jobs of heavy containers or long contact times. The treatment will extend service life and improve wear properties, resulting in fewer insert changes and improving productivity.

Protatherm® materials have been developed specifically to aid the forming and handling of glass containers in the hot-end. Protatherm products are delivered with short lead times and can be supplied in small or large batch quantities.

The Protatherm® range of take out holders have been developped in conjunction with our take out inserts, to offer glass container manufacturers the choice and flexibility required in a busy production environment. 

Just as we offer a full range of contact materials to suit all possible container weights and sizes, we also match our inserts with the holder to best suit your needs offering both self-aligning and fixed position holders in a choice of either mild steel or stainless steel.

Our holder range can be modified on request to further tailor their suitability to your application. Extended holders are available to provide a 'long drop', alternatively an extension kit compatible with all our holders can be supplied to retro fit on site.
